More than forty members of the St. Pius V School community marched in the Providence St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday. Since the Providence St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee uses SPV’s blacktop as the check-in location for the whole parade, the school offered coffee, lemonade, cookies, and mini muffins to all marchers passing by. Students and their families were able to meet Revolutionary War reinactors, Irish step dancers, various musicians, and a mime while helping at the refreshment table. The parade itself started right down the hill on Smith Street and continued on to the State House. The St. Pius V School group had a wonderful time representing their school in the greater community.
St. Patrick, pray for us!
